VOLUNTEER Bottled Water Distribution Network Is Operating!
September 19, 2019
The WBYC Water & Sewer District is working with local volunteers to set up a growing distribution network for bottled water. We are relying on this Community wide effort so that our staff can do what they need to be doing out in the field to help solve our water comtamination issues. They simply do not have the time to pass out water. Donated bottled water is coming in and we are in the process of locating those stores at several locations where they can be picked up by the public. One of our donors sent 8 pallets of water to the Huntley Project School and the volunteer school kids are distributing it from 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. during the week. We celebrate that wonderful community spirit!! We recently placed 48 cases of donated bottled water at the Bethlehem Congregational Church in Worden which will both use them for the Pre School program and will distribute to persons on our water system. We now have a large depot set up inside our office building in Worden and in a large enclosed semi trailer parked beside our Worden building which is also fully stocked. We will distribute a full week's supply of bottled water to families and individuals on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. from that site. We are hopeful that many people will be donating their time for this cause. We would like to thank all those individuals and businesses who have donated or are planning to donate water or funds to keep it going as long as possible. Please call Gary at 406-696-5507 if you can stockpile some water for us or act as a distribution depot.
